Cleaning up the Vegetables

Thursday afternoon, saw us over at the gardens, digging and weeding.  We discovered a few vegetables left so we picked them.
On Friday, we combined measurement and cooking.  First we had to estimate the weight of the courgettes, onions, potatoes and leeks.
Maddy and Maiah were very close, in fact exactly right with some of them!

Altogether, we had 1kg and 625 gms of veges.  That fed 22 children!

We added flour, eggs, cheese and milk, to make our quiche.

It smelt good.  It looked good and it tasted so good we forgot to take a photo BUT the empty dishes are proof that MOST of us enjoyed it.

Pippi Longstocking visits Room 3

We finished reading the story about Pippi Longstocking.  She is such a funny free- spirited character who gets involved in many amazing adventures with her neighbours, Tommy and Annika.  She has a little pet monkey called Mr Nilsson.
On Friday,, the girls came to school dressed as Pippi and the boys could be Mr Nilsson, or they could imagine that if Pippi had a brother, what would he wear.  There were some wonderful hairstyles!
